Franchise Presence National

Build a Purpose-Led Performing Arts Business with an Established National Brand

Razzamataz Theatre Schools gives ambitious franchisees the opportunity to build their own local performing arts business while helping children and young people develop confidence, creativity and skills for life.

The model combines dance, drama and singing tuition with an established franchise system, recognised brand, comprehensive training and ongoing support. Franchisees can develop a commercially focused business in their local community without having to create every system, process and resource from scratch.

An Established Brand with National Recognition

Razzamataz gained national recognition following its appearance on BBC’s Dragons’ Den in 2007, where the business secured full investment.

Since then, the brand has continued to develop its presence within children’s performing arts and has achieved recognition including the BFA 2022 Lifestyle Franchisor and Franchisee Awards.

Razzamataz has also worked with recognised organisations and brands including Hamleys, Mattel, Warner Bros Studios, Universal, 20th Century Fox, Paramount Pictures and TUI.

Students have benefited from memorable performance opportunities connected with Disney, London’s West End and venues including indigo at The O2.

A Business with Purpose

Razzamataz is built around a clear mission: Creating Confident Futures.

Schools provide performing arts education designed to help young people explore dance, drama and singing while developing communication skills, creativity and confidence.

For franchisees, this creates the opportunity to combine business ownership with meaningful involvement in their local community.

NAME

Training and Support from Day One

New franchisees receive a full week of training at Head Office in Penrith, Cumbria, covering key areas including:

  • Marketing
  • Safeguarding
  • Lesson planning
  • Financial management
  • Business systems

Following initial training, franchisees are supported by a dedicated mentor throughout their first year before moving into the wider network support programme.

Further development includes refresher training and additional phases covering successful shows, local events, awards, and Easter and summer schools.

NAME

Franchisees also benefit from established marketing resources, operational guidance, ongoing online training and the experience of the wider Razzamataz network.

Who Is Razzamataz Looking For?

Strong franchisees are typically organised, ambitious and motivated, with a passion for performing arts and working with young people.

The role combines business development, marketing, financial management, team leadership and community engagement, making it particularly suited to people who want to be actively involved in building their school.

Proof of Success

“As a franchisee, the support from head office has been amazing. I’ve felt supported, encouraged and challenged which is exactly what I’ve needed in my first year. They are always there to support and give advice as needed. I’d definitely recommend exploring owning a school yourself and have loved my first year as a Razz School principal.”

Tori Silcox, Razzamataz Oxford

“I realised I never wanted to leave Razzamataz. Every opportunity to stay involved, I wanted to explore. Becoming a franchisee felt like the natural next step. The support has been incredible. Head Office and Principals across the network have been there every step of the way. I love the ethos. There’s guidance without unnecessary pressure and everyone genuinely wants you to succeed.”

Murron Lees, Razzamataz Edinburgh West
