The Kings Arms occupies a roadside position on Church Street in the town centre of Amesbury. On the eastern edge of the town is also a large business park—Solstice Park. According to the 2021 census, the town has a population of around 13,000 and it is approximately 7.5 miles north of the cathedral city of Salisbury which has a population of approximately 45,000. Salisbury train station has South Western Railway services connecting to London Waterloo and Great Western Railway services connecting to Portsmouth, Bristol and Cardiff.
