Are you an experienced food operator looking for a picturesque pub to run overlooking the River Tees? The Otter and Fish could be the pub for you.
Pub and location
You’ll find this beautiful pub in the picturesque village of Hurworth, three miles from Darlington, close to the North Yorkshire border. There’s plenty of potential to maximise the business with over one hundred covers that currently serve as a restaurant. The pub is in excellent condition, with a large bar and a small seating area outside. We’re looking for a food enthusiast who’ll seize the opportunity to run a good-sized kitchen.
You’ll be taking the reins of a pub with a sterling reputation. Family-run since 2006, the venture will always pride itself on delicious, home-cooked food and five-star service. Guests love traditional bar meals and a full a la carte menu, but you’ll have plenty of opportunities to sprinkle your culinary magic on the menu. You’ll prepare your locally sourced homemade food on the premises, giving what you do a bespoke and individualised touch.
Hurworth is a beautiful village in the borough of Darlington, within the boundaries of County Durham. You can find it south of Darlington on the River Tees, close to its meeting point with the River Skerne. The savvy Publican will capitalise on footfall from the other twenty villages around the immediate area that all form part of the same parish, notably Low Coniscliffe, Walworth Gate, Croft On Tees and Stapleton.
