Elevating UK education with the launch of two new Tutor Doctor franchisees
In an ambitious move to further broaden access to quality education across the UK, Tutor Doctor is thrilled to announce the launch of two new franchisees. As the leading provider of one-on-one in-home, in-school and online tutoring services, this expansion reaffirms the company's unwavering commitment to delivering personalised learning experiences to students of all ages. Each new location promises to offer exceptional educational support, harnessing a tailored curriculum and highly qualified tutors to meet the unique needs of every learner. This is a pivotal moment in Tutor Doctor's journey to reshape the educational landscape and to ensure accessible, bespoke tutoring solutions for all students.
After 14 years of teaching physical education (PE) in an over-stretched school system, and almost as many years of having to miss out on her own children’s sports days, Nicola Brough was determined to have a positive impact on local children’s education. The Doncaster-born mum-of-two decided to start a new venture with a flexible in-home, online and in-school personalised tutoring company, launching Tutor Doctor Doncaster earlier this month.
“I know first-hand just how stretched the school system is currently,” said Nicola. “I’ve always loved teaching, and I’m so passionate about giving children the opportunity to develop their own interests and to learn in an environment which gets the best out of them. Having seen how difficult it is to provide that personalised, tailored approach to students in schools, I knew I wanted to support the system and give local children an extra chance to learn in the way that works best for them.”
Also joining the Tutor Doctor network is local technology education specialist Chris Bramwell, who this month launched Tutor Doctor Bury St Edmunds. Following a successful career in technology-based businesses spanning over three decades, Chris chose to launch his business after seeing how children become stimulated when placed in a personalised, supportive environment.
“Having worked in a diversity of educational settings, I’ve had an insight into what children need to revitalise their love of the classroom,” said Chris. “As an educator, it’s vital that I work collaboratively with local schools and authorities to help support the students in their care. My values are purely centred around giving students the confidence needed to help them reap the benefits of academic success.”
“I am immeasurably proud of how our network has developed across the globe,” said Frank Milner, Global President of Tutor Doctor. “Our collective achievements stand as a testament to the dedication of our franchisees and the value of our teaching methods. I am excited about what the future holds and thrilled to welcome Chris and Nicola to the team. Together with the ever-growing Tutor Doctor network, we will continue to redefine the boundaries of educational excellence."
A global franchisor with over 650 franchise units operating in five continents, Tutor Doctor has been the leading education franchise in the UK since launching here in 2009. Today 60 franchisees support children nationwide to achieve their potential.
