Walfinch CEO to discuss future direction of self-funded homecare at national Social Care Conference

Amrit Dhaliwal, chief executive officer of homecare franchise network Wa lfinch, is confirmed as a speaker at this year’s LaingBuisson Social Care Conference – the industry’s leading event – where he will join an expert panel to discuss the current state and potential for the self-funded homecare market.

With 80% of UK people suggesting that they would prefer be supported in their own homes rather than in a care home, and the over 75 age group anticipated to grow to over 8 million people by 2035*1, the need for personal care and support is set to increase and place greater demands on the domiciliary care industry.

As CEO of a growing homecare operation, Amrit looks forward to discussing what he believes the industry needs to do to ensure it is in the best shape possible to meet the increasing future demands.

Confirms Amrit Dhaliwal: “Today an estimated one million people are receiving home-based care, every day, and with an ageing population, this is projected to significantly increase. The industry needs to therefore to be primed and fully prepared to support people with a high-quality service. We need to be there to help people in planning ahead for their future needs and make it less of an ‘emergency purchase’ and, importantly, ensure we have a skilled and engaged workforce who can deliver the very best continuity of service.

“I look forward to discussing these issues at the LaingBuisson Social Care Conference with industry peers, regulators and senior policy makers, and in sharing my thoughts and best practice that we can all take away and learn from.”

The Social Care Conference takes place on 7 June 2023 at County Hall, London. The event provides a platform to present arguments and engage in a positive dialogue, while receiving exclusive access to proprietary LaingBuisson market research.  It aims to bring together an exceptional blend of key influencers in the sector, with exclusive LaingBuisson insight and world class expertise.
