Merry Maids to the Rescue as DIY Screams SOS
Merry Maids’ cleaning professionals were left on tenterhooks recently as they waited to see if they appeared in an episode of BBC1’s DIY SOS!
In the show, a family are nominated to receive the completion of their half-finished home DIY project by the expert team at DIY SOS, and local trades and businesses are only too happy to help out. Merry Maids leapt at the chance to help with the post construction clean-up on the property in Blythe, Nottinghamshire, which was shown on our screens on Wednesday 13th February at 9pm.
The Merry Maids DIY SOS task team who rolled up their sleeves to help out included teams of maids from the Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Merry Maids businesses as well as members from the marketing team at ServiceMaster Ltd, franchisor to Merry Maids. Together the group carried out two full days of deep cleaning for the BBC1 programme.
The show, which promotes community spirit building, is something that Merry Maids were delighted to be a part of and the marketing team were happy to swap their normal day job for Merry Maids uniforms to contribute. ServiceMaster Ltd actively seeks out opportunities with local community projects and franchisees are supported and encouraged to get involved. When the benefactor of the efforts is a delightful family who are in need of some good luck, it makes the efforts all the more worthwhile.
