Walfinch CEO discusses ‘Retention versus Recruitment’ at The Residential & Home Care Show

Walfinch CEO discusses ‘Retention versus Recruitment’ at The Residential & Home Care Show

18/19 May 2022, London ExCeL

16 May 2022: Amrit Dhaliwal, CEO of Walfinch, the national homecare brand, has been confirmed as a speaker at The Residential & Home Care Show, where he will be discussing the secret to unlocking a successful employee retention strategy in the home care sector.

The Residential & Home Care Show focuses on providing practical solutions to the everyday challenges faced in running healthcare business, and brings together experts from across the sector who provide inspirational keynotes and panel discussions on the issues that matter to the industry.

In his conference session, which takes place in the Home Care Theatre at 9:15am on Wednesday 18 May, Amrit will discuss how providers must establish a culture of caring for staff first, in order to deliver a consistent and assured care service to clients.

Amrit Dhaliwal explains: “When I entered the homecare industry, I could quickly see that the product that many providers are supplying is largely broken as a result of high turnover rates of carers. The secret is to therefore unlock an employee retention strategy that reduces the need, and financial cost, for ongoing recruitment.

“As I see it, employee retention starts at day one with the initial recruiting process – applying the right techniques to screen applicants, through to the onboarding process. If carers are happy, fulfilled and feel supported, this will result in a far better service extending to clients. I look forward to sharing an insight into the approach we take at Walfinch on this highly important topic at The Residential & Home Care Show.”
