Bright & Beautiful North Tyneside celebrates significant growth of over 140%
Award-winning North Tyneside entrepreneur, Helen Ross, is celebrating a significant milestone this week, with the second-year anniversary of her Bright & Beautiful professional domestic housekeeping franchise, coupled with a year of growth as turnover increased by over 140% from the previous year.
Since launching her ethical and eco-friendly cleaning business in 2017, Helen has demonstrated success by more than doubling her customers from last year and boosting her total monthly cleans to over 200. She has also invested heavily in her workforce and expanded her trusted team to 12 local professional housekeepers, all of whom have been carefully selected, referenced and DBS checked to ensue client peace of mind.
Helen’s hard work and her dedication to being an ethical employer was recognised earlier this year when she was named ‘Employer of the Year’ for the North East at the Federation of Small Business (FSB) Excellence Awards 2019, which recognises the best of small businesses.
Helen said: “I’m thrilled to be celebrating my second year in industry where it’s so gratifying to see the success and growth of the business. This year in particular has been a real turning point for my business as we continue to expand and flourish by delivering a bespoke and tailored service that offers cleaning, tidying, laundry and ironing to the highest standards of security and service.
“My housekeepers are my most important assets, so it is essential to invest in their development to not only ensure long tenure but also to create a positive environment and culture. It’s fantastic to be able to create employment opportunities for local people and to be providing an exceptional service at the heart of the community.”
Based in North Tyneside, Bright & Beautiful covers Whitley Bay, North Shields, Tynemouth, Backworth, Holystone, Northumberland Park, Earsdon, Monkseaton, Ponteland, Cullercoats and surrounding areas. It is part of a national network of over 65 franchisees building their own local business, creating 800+ jobs and delivering more than 10,000 home cleans per month.
