A former banker has entered the world of domestic cleaning in Wakefield and South Leeds and has vowed to exceed customer expectations in her new venture.

mm-wakefield-ginaGina Glendinning of Wakefield, is the new owner of Merry Maids of Wakefield and South Leeds, which is a franchise of ServiceMaster, after leaving a 30-year corporate banking career with HSBC. Merry Maids has been trading across Wakefield and South Leeds for nearly 20 years but was founded in the US in 1979.

Mrs Glendinning, director, Merry Maids of Wakefield and South Leeds said:

“I knew that when I left the world of corporate banking I wanted to run my own business and the Merry Maids opportunity looked too good to be true. There is already a fantastic business with some incredibly hard-working staff and I’m all about the customer service, which is where I plan to add some real value. “The Merry Maids brand name already holds a fantastic reputation both locally and nationally and I am hoping my small business will soon become a big business and a fantastic place to work.”

There are currently almost 100 local Merry Maids businesses in the UK and over 600 across the US, Canada and Japan.
