George and Tricia Craig - North East
George and Tricia's Story:
The potential of a Metro Rod business to thrive in trying circumstances that helped persuade George and Tricia to invest in the UK’s leading business-to-business drainage contractor more than a decade ago. “When we chose the franchise, we felt that Metro Rod was a recession-resilient business, and the current downturn has proved us to be correct,” recalls George.
The Franchise:
Tricia and George Craig’s Metro Rod franchise has continued to grow year on year and has not only expanded to take on new staff, but they have also continued to invest in the latest industry leading technology. Metro Rod North East's success was recognised when they were named as Metro Rod’s Franchise of The Year.
In Their Own Words:
“When we bought the franchise we had two young children but still managed to work at increasing the size of the business, without neglecting our family commitments,” says Tricia. “Now, though, we employ a great team of people to do the jobs that we once had sole responsibility for, so we have more time for ourselves and our family, knowing our business is in good hands.”
