Toni’s Sales & Marketing background provided her with a strong skillset to build a successful franchise!

To some, the name Toni Hibbert may spark thoughts of a famous Everton footballer, however in a continued theme of success our Toni Hibbert is the proactive owner of Bright & Beautiful Derby. Starting a business was a natural progression for Toni, having enjoyed a successful career in the Health and Natural Products Industry: “I have been a Sales Director for a national wholesaler of Health Foods and Natural Products and also a Marketing Manager for a vitamin manufacturer. My roles have all been largely sales and marketing related with a passion for natural and ethical products.I studied business and always thought that I would run my own business.  I seem to have spent a lot of my time running other peoples!”

Like many ambitious business people, Toni didn’t lack the drive but more the idea and business model, so she turned to franchising: “I had always had the idea of a franchise in the back of my mind, but the health food industry had me hooked.  It was when I got back to work after having my daughters, I realised that the business felt different. I knew then, that I wanted to be self-employed and started looking for opportunities.  Once I found Bright & Beautiful, I stopped looking!”

She continued: “The brand and the marketing are so appealing, and I find that I get such a positive response from potential clients. I love the fact that I am an ethical employer creating family friend jobs in my local area.”

Despite now being an established franchisee, Toni still enjoys the regular communication with other business owners: “I like being part of something bigger and then at the same time being a business owner.  There are lots of other franchisees all at different stages of business and it inspires me to see how they all operate and contribute to the brand.”

When asked about her biggest achievement in franchising so far Toni expressed how her business has taught her things that not even a successful business career can prepare you for: “I couldn’t say one single thing as are there are so many elements that make up this journey.  It has been a steep learning curve and I am proud of the hard work that I have put in so far to get where I am.  I still have a way to go but even at an early stage, I do have the feeling that I am building something tangible.”

Toni now plans to grow her business further and build on what she has already achieved: “I have long since realised that it is impossible to do everything at once and I look forward to planning for growth and achieving the milestones that I have set for myself.  With the help of my team of Professional Housekeepers, my biggest ambition is to put Bright & Beautiful on the map in Derby and build a reputation for providing a premium service.”

If you think that you have what it takes to run your own business, explore how Bright & Beautiful could support you in realising your ambitions.
