Tutor Doctor wins Tuition Franchise of the Year 2026 at the National Tutoring Awards

{Tutor Doctor wins Tuition Franchise of the Year 2026 at the National Tutoring Awards}

On Friday, 3rd July 2026, before more than 400 guests at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London, the tutoring sector’s black-tie celebration of the year, Tutor Doctor was awarded Tuition Franchise or Centre of the Year 2026.

Run by the Tutor’s Association, the awards recognise a period of significant innovation and growth across its UK network, enabling the brand to reach and support a record amount of students.

The award follows major investment in technology, safeguarding and operational infrastructure, helping franchisees strengthen partnerships with schools and local authorities, unlock new revenue streams and deliver record-breaking growth across the network.

A franchise model fit for growth

The accolade also comes after a period of transformation for Tutor Doctor’s UK franchise network, with the business increasingly focused on supporting schools, local authorities and alternative provision settings.

Over the past three years, the brand’s revolutionary Schools Delivery Programme has become a major part of the network’s activity, with 75% of UK revenue now generated through education partnerships rather than private tuition. The shift has enabled franchisees to diversify their operations and build larger businesses, while responding to growing demand for targeted educational support.

For Frank Milner, global president of Tutor Doctor, “The education sector has changed considerably in recent years and our franchisees have adapted alongside it. The growth of our school and local authority partnerships has created opportunities that simply didn’t exist a few years ago.”

Alongside the expansion of this lucrative new route to market, Tutor Doctor has continued to invest in technology and operational systems across the UK network.

Recent developments have included new safeguarding processes, compliance tools, recruitment systems and reporting platforms designed to support franchisees working with schools and local authorities. The investments have also helped reduced the administrative workloads and improve operational consistency across the network.

A year to remember

The changes have contributed to a strong year of growth across the franchise network, including a 29% year-on-year revenue increase.

In addition to this, Tutor Doctor has seen a 23% increase in hours of tuition being delivered over the past 12 months. This growth has enabled the brand to reach more students that previously would’ve faced several barriers to this level of personalised support.

“One of the strengths of the network has been the willingness of franchisees to share knowledge and embrace new opportunities,” added Frank. “The results we’ve seen over the past year are a reflection of that collective effort.”

The Tuition Franchise or Centre of the Year 2026 award is in recognition of franchisors that have demonstrated excellent franchisee support, innovation and business performance. For Tutor Doctor, the shortlisting follows a year that has seen continued growth in school and local authority partnerships, further technology investment and expansion across several franchise territories.

The business plans to continue investing in technology, support and systems as it looks to build on the progress made over the past 12 months.

“We’re really pleased to be viewed alongside some of the strongest education brands in the UK,” concluded Frank. "More importantly, it's testament to the work being delivered by franchisees across the UK and the results they’re achieving within their local communities.”
