The home care team at Walfinch Chiswick, Hammersmith & Kensington have been rated outstanding in their first Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection.  
 
This puts Managing Director  and owner Tanya Santos and her team in elite company: CQC data states that  just 5%  of home care organisations have been awarded their highest rating of outstanding.  To achieve this an organisation has to score 88 -100% on their inspection.
 
Tanya says: “We have always had the ambition to get an outstanding rating, right from our first inspection, and we have succeeded.
 
“This milestone is not just a reflection of hard work, but also a testament to the dedication, passion and commitment of my incredible team.  I am not just a proud leader, but also a grateful one.  Together we are making a positive impact and I could not be happier.”
 
Commenting on the overall service quality the CQC inspector reported:  "The service people received was very safe, and provided by extremely competent, professional, and well-trained staff."
The report also commented that the staff were, “appropriately recruited, and they supported, and enabled people to take acceptable risks in an encouraging, proactive way which enhanced people’s quality of life."
On support and independence, the  CQC r eport  stated  that clients, "were encouraged and supported to do as much as they could for themselves to maintain and improve their independence,” and commented that, "The service was very well led, with excellent governance, and highly effective monitoring systems."


Walfinch CEO Amrit Dhaliwal says: “I am thrilled that Tanya and her team have achieved this outstanding rating, especially on their first inspection, which very rarely happens.    They are an inspiration to all of our franchisees countrywide.
“This is a step towards Walfinch's goal of ensuring that all of our franchisees are rated as outstanding.”
Tanya and the team also received a message from Dr Jane Townson, CEO of the Homecare Association, who commented: “Many congratulations Tanya Santos – brilliant achievement.”


Tanya congratulated her Operations Director  Roxy Engelbrecht Visser, Registered Manager Magdalena Chmielewska, Care Manager  Zarina Khan,  and Recruitment Coordinator Nicole Jacobs, and the whole care team. She said: “The compassion and commitment they show every day make all the difference in the lives of those we care for.”

Perfect Ten
Within days of the outstanding rating, Tanya announced that Walfinch Chiswick, Hammersmith & Kensington had achieved a perfect score of ten out of ten on home care reviews website  Homecare.co.uk
