Location:

Old Nick’s Tavern is located in the affluent and historic market town of Horncastle, Lincolnshire. Horncastle is situated in the centre of the county, only 17 miles east of the county city of Lincoln, 20 miles west of the seaside town of Skegness and 4 miles southwest of the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The town benefits from many contrasting amenities and landmarks such as multiple fuel and service stations, grammar and comprehensive schools, large supermarkets and various antique shops.

Horncastle sits at the crossroads of two of Lincolnshire's major roads: the A158 which runs west to east, joining the city of Lincoln with the resort of Skegness on the Lincolnshire coast; the A153 joins Louth in the north with Sleaford and Grantham in the south. These two roads meet in the centre of Horncastle. Boston is also accessible via the A16.

The nearest rail service can be found in the village of Metheringham where the station sits on the Lincoln to Peterborough line between Lincoln and the large village of Ruskington. Regular bus services also allow travel to the nearby towns of Louth, Boston and the seaside resort of Skegness, as well as the city of Lincoln. The nearest airport can be found 30 miles north at Humberside International Airport.

Old Nick’s Tavern, which is purported to date back to 1752, occupies a two storey, mid-terrace, Grade II listed building of brick construction with part pantile, part slate roof. It is located on North Street in the centre of the town.
