Location:

The riverside town of Bridgnorth stands astride the River Severn in the most desirable and sought after area of East Shropshire, convenient for the West Midlands. Despite its bucolic rural idyll, it is also within easy motoring distance of the West Midland conurbations.

The market town has a population of approximately 12,500 making it a significant community in its own right. It is the home of many shops, restaurants, pubs, bars and independent businesses. The town is also the terminus of the Severn Valley Railway, one of Britain’s best known heritage steam railways which runs from the Worcestershire town of Kidderminster to Bridgenorth. Its station stands immediately opposite The George Hotel. The George is located on the main road linking the two towns, ‘High Town’ and ‘Low Town’, which is also connected by Castle Hill Railway—the UK’s longest inland funicular railway.

The George Hotel was completely refurbished (all but rebuilt) in 2009 and now offers outstanding trade and letting facilities, excellent outside area and real scope for development. It is being offered by a private landlord on favourable, free of tie lease terms and is a business of which an early inspection is recommended.
