The hotel, a former drover’s inn, was fully renovated in 2021 and resumed operations on 1 February 2024. It includes six luxury guest bedrooms, reception with open fireplace, breakfast restaurant with outdoor terrace, dinner restaurant overlooking the loch, whisky bar, cellar bar and restaurant, snug/living room with open fireplace, WCs and a large commercial kitchen.
Four en-suite staff apartments provide on-site staff accommodation. The wider property also includes a storage building and riparian fishing rights.
The business is described as a highly profitable luxury letting and hotel operation. No turnover or net profit figures have been disclosed.
The hotel received the Rural Hotel of the Year award in 2023 and, following its reopening, received Romantic Hideaway of the Year 2025 Scotland recognition and an Agoda top 10% in the world award.
