Founded in 2023 as an add-on to an existing fish & chips shop, The Vintage Fish Trailer very quickly established itself in Hampshire & West Sussex as a mobile fish & chip caterer.
Since its launch, the trailer has attended many weddings, private functions and has repeat orders from corporate clients. The feedback has been positive, but the business is limited in operation due to the owners other business commitments and interests.
Designed from the ground up, (well car transporter chassis) the trailer re-invented the quality of food trucks and is built with a full size fish & chip frying range (Hopkins), in-built refrigeration, double bowl sinks all completely finished in stainless steel and aluminium interior and vintage matt grey finish exterior.
The trailer is rated for 3.5 tonne.
The Vintage Fish Trailer is being sold as a actively trading business with booking outstanding for 2026 & 2027. (Booking will continue to be taken whist the trailer is being marketed for sale and passed onto the new owners) Currently based in Fareham, Hampshire the majority of the work in Hampshire & West Sussex but does undertake work within Dorset & Surrey. (Event in Dorset & Surrey are also passed to other traders due to the availability of the owners schedule which he cannot fit in).
Included in the sale is the trailer, 2x Pramac PX8000 generators, power leads, all catering equipment, (internal utensils, bain-marie, griddle, chip barrels) full inventory to be supplied to prospective buyers. Also included in the sale is all company property, (website, business contacts, uniform, logo, business risk assessments, legal paperwork)
The Trailer is more than capable to handle large scale events, the frying range will turn out 120 fish & chips an hour with sales reaching £5000 a day comfortably.
The owner is willing to work with the buyer to share existing knowledge of the fish & chip trade, the trailer and how the equipment works.
The business needs a hand on owner with time to take The Vintage Fish Trailer forward, attend large scale events, wedding fares, business networking to line up a full diary. Social media could be developed, regular pitches and a corporate client list. The trailer really has the ability to do well (especially with the limited trailers being built) and would make a good additional to either a current fish & chip shop or a stand alone entity.
