Reputation is Everything!
An established, genuinely award-winning beauty salon in one of East London's fastest-changing neighbourhoods.
The salon has traded from Bow for close to six years, and in that time has built something most salons never manage: a reputation that can be checked by anyone, from the outside, before they ever walk through the door.
The reputation is the asset.
- Fivestar rated on Treatwell for six consecutive years, without a break
- Over 2,000 fivestar client reviews
- Finished top three in the entire UK in the Treatwell Top Rated Five Star Awards, judged against a field of more than 25,000 salons
- 90%+ client retention, with a core base of regulars booking on repeat cycles which means revenue does not have to be rewon every month. The clients are already there, they already rebook, and they are loyal to the salon rather than to a discount.
What the business does
Specialist nail treatments, eyelash extensions and hair extensions, delivered by a team of three full-time qualified Master technicians. The salon sits at the premium end of its local market and its pricing reflects that, supported by the review record rather than by discounting.
The salon sits beside a neighbourhood supermarket and opposite a bus stop which has a high footfall. The established Roman Road street market is a few minutes walk as well as both Bow and Mile end underground stations.
A business which has been run well and not yet up to its ceiling:
The obvious upside is sitting in plain view:
1. Two treatment rooms are currently unused.
Fully usable space, generating nothing today. Waxing, facials, massage, brows, aesthetics, or a rented chair for a self-employed therapist. Adding treatments to an existing loyal client base is the cheapest revenue a beauty business can buy, because the marketing cost is effectively zero.
2. Room to widen the booking mix.
A large share of bookings currently arrive through a single marketplace channel. A buyer who builds a direct booking route alongside it keeps materially more of every treatment they already deliver, with no increase in workload.
3. A 2,000-review asset that has never been fully marketed.
The review record is exceptional and underused. Referral schemes, local press, a properly optimised Google Business Profile and creator partnerships all have unusually high odds of landing for a salon that can genuinely claim a national top-three finish.
This would suit:
- An experienced technician or salon manager ready to own rather than be employed,
- An existing salon operator adding a second East London site or,
- An investor putting a manager in place, given the trained team already running day-to-day treatments and the salon.
Support and handover
A full handover is offered to ensure continuity of client relationships, supplier arrangements and the review record. The team are experienced and in place. Terms are negotiable and can be discussed with serious enquirers.
Reason for sale
Owner is selling due to personal life changes.
