Long Established Motorcycle Mot Centre In Llanelli For Sale

Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, UK
Asking Price:
£245,000
Turnover:
£17,360
Net Profit:
Available on request

CoGoGo welcomes to the market the MOT Centre. This very well-established Motorcycle Mot centre, which is currently run on a very part time basis, due to the owners age. He presently carries out around 3/4 Mot’s each morning and then closes.

However, there is great potential and opportunity to increase this into a full-time business, to include repairs and servicing as well. The new owners would need to invest in a rolling road, although we believe from the owner that these can be leased at very reasonable rates.

The current stock value is circa £50,000 which includes several motorbikes.

The business itself has been run by the current owner for the last 36 years and is very well known in the area. The owner is now looking towards a very well-earned retirement.

Financial Profile

The business is run very part time at the moment, but still earns around £20,000-£25,000 per annum for MOT work only.

The MOT Centre is situated on the outskirts of Llanelli. It is the largest town in both the county of Carmarthenshire and the preserved county of Dyfed, Wales and sits on the Loughor estuary on the West Wales coast, approximately 10 miles west-northwest of Swansea and 12 miles south-east of the county town, Carmarthen. The town is famous for its proud rugby tradition and is a centre of tinplate production.

The town of Llanelli with a population of some 35,000 people, is a coastal town where the Welsh language is still widely spoken.
