Our clients are looking to sell their franchised Lettings & Estate Agency in the North East of England. The business was established in 2005 and is reputable and well respected in their area, due to retirement, the current owners are looking to find a buyer to take over their franchise.
The business operates via a mix of sales & lettings activity. With sales accounting for around 2/3 of the income, and lettings 1/3. There are around 75 properties under management and a steady flow of sales properties being listed and sold. The financial result is consistent levels of turnover in the £250,000 region.
Profits are fluctuating and have typically sat just north of breakeven. However, current P&L’s for the YE 25 are on track for over £30k of profit.
There is a good team in the office who handle the day to day operations, the owners role typically is to handle finances within the business.
With this being a franchise, any buyer would be required to continue to operate the business under the franchise banner. Additionally, if a buyer already owns a Letting / Estate agency, they would be expected to merge / rebrand their current business into the franchise.
