TaxAssist Accountants Crawley welcomes new owner

Gurjinder Singh has purchased David Fitzpatrick’s practice.

After building up and running a highly successful business for 18 years in Crawley looking after 315 clients, David Fitzpatrick has now retired after selling his practice to existing TaxAssist franchisee Gurjinder Singh.

On his time with TaxAssist, David said: “As an accountant working in industry I was intrigued when I saw the TaxAssist franchise opportunity advertised in the ACCA magazine all those years ago. It didn’t take long for me to decide that this was the right move for me and I haven’t looked back.

“From the start to the finish, the fantastic TaxAssist Support Centre team has been hugely effective in helping me to build up a business which I feel very proud of. My thanks also go to my wonderful staff who have ably assisted me so well.

“Gurjinder is a qualified Chartered Accountant and bookkeeper and had over ten years’ experience of running his own practice before he joined TaxAssist in 2022, so my clients are in safe hands. I will be supporting Gurjinder over the next few months for a handover period.”

On his decision to purchase an additional practice alongside his existing practice in Dartford, Gurjinder said: “It was an opportunity not to be missed. Having many years’ experience behind me, plus the added expertise of the TaxAssist team, I was ready to take my practice to the next level.

“Clients love the TaxAssist brand and accessible walk-in shop model and with a range of beneficial additional services, we’re a true one-stop-shop for all clients’ needs. I’d encourage clients, both existing and new, to pop in for a chat to find out more.”
