Franchise resale success for TaxAssist Accountants in 2023

Five accountancy practices changed hands this year.

Alongside available territories, TaxAssist Accountants also has accountancy practices for sale, which are mostly a result of franchisees wishing to retire, having built up their businesses.

Five TaxAssist Accountants realised their investment in the franchise this year, Indira Mandalia, in Pinner, Melvyn Shephard in Stourbridge, Gary Perrens in Colchester, Nigel Lomax in Shrewsbury and David Fitzpatrick in Crawley, with sale prices above industry averages.

“We’ve had a lot of interest from people in joining our franchise this year, predominantly from those looking to purchase one of our established practices,” said Seth Brown, UK Franchise Recruitment Manger.

“Buying an existing TaxAssist Accountants franchise represents an excellent foundation upon which a new franchisee can further develop an established business with an income stream from day one, and has the added benefit of a premises, brand presence, staff and practice management systems already in place.

“Having an exit strategy is a must for any business owner and it’s been fantastic to support five long standing franchisees with their retirement plans this year. Three of these involved handing over the reins to new franchisees, with two to existing franchisees ambitious to scale up their already very successful practices.

“We have a robust, proven franchise resale process with expert support provided from the experienced TaxAssist Support Centre team. As we are a maturing network, we will continue to have a number of practices for sale at any given time, and we anticipate demand will continue to be high, indeed, we have further resales nearing completion in the next few months.”
