Staff promotions at The TaxAssist Group

Andy Gibbs ATT, CTA, promoted to Director of Services and Richard Washington, Head of Group Technology joins new Operational Board.

Daren Moore, Group Chief Executive Officer, said: “With ambitious plans for growth for The TaxAssist Group over the next five years, we have made some organisational changes to ensure the plans move forward.

“We have introduced a Group Operational Board, which will take on some of the functions of Group Board and will be responsible for looking after much of the day to day running of our group businesses. This will support collaboration and decision making between different parts of our business. The membership of this new Board will consist of existing Group Board members, the Managing Directors of our individual group companies and two of our senior team members.

“We are delighted to announce that Andy Gibbs has been promoted to Director of Services and will be part of this new structure. Andy has done a fantastic job for the network and for the group over the years and will be taking on responsibility for our payroll and tax consulting businesses, as well as continuing to look after our technical helpdesk function.

“We are also pleased that Richard Washington will be joining the new Operational Board, giving us access to his IT and technology expertise and helping us to deliver a number of critical group projects.

“The TaxAssist Group focus will always be on developing staff and providing them with opportunities to progress and I would like to congratulate Andy and Richard for these well-deserved promotions.”

TaxAssist Accountants is the UK’s largest network providing tax advice and accountancy services specifically for small and medium sized businesses, sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and personal taxpayers. With more than 400 TaxAssist Accountants offices nationwide, the network provides accountancy services, tax returns, payroll, bookkeeping, tax savings and tax advice to 80,000 clients.

Founded in Norwich in 1995, The TaxAssist Direct Group is a training, marketing, support and services business and has offices trading under the TaxAssist brand in the UK, the Republic of Ireland, Australia, Canada and the USA.

Based on the Broadland Business Park in Norwich, The TaxAssist Direct Group’s Support Centre employs 76 members of staff.
