Not Just Travel named Homeworking Agency of the Year

Not Just Travel has been named as the Homeworking Agency of the Year at the Classic Awards, cementing its standing as the best travel company to open an agency with, especially for those without prior industry experience.

Beating national competition, the Not Just Travel franchise has been recognised as the best in the UK for home-based travel agents, at the most recent Classic Awards.

The award’s announcement is timely: The company’s franchisees have been breaking sales records throughout the start of 2022, as passengers’ book much needed holidays.

Growth is also partly being driven by many customers using travel professionals for the first time - or returning to them - for peace of mind and better protection.

The company has seen over 900 people start their own travel agency under the Not Just Travel umbrella since 2013. And over 240 have joined since the start of Covid, in order to be ready for the much-anticipated travel recovery.

But, with the high street’s future uncertain, homeworking has become an increasingly popular choice for many entering the industry instead of opening retail premises.

Co-founder Paul Harrison attributes the Homeworking Agency of the Year award to the hard work of the franchisees, as well as the head office support they receive.

“We’re especially proud of awards like this, as it’s yet another ringing endorsement of how people new-to-travel can become successful agents in a very short period of time,” he said. “With 99% of our franchisees never having worked in travel before (and more than two thirds who’ve never been self-employed), it shows the true value of both their efforts and the ongoing training and mentorship provided.”
