The Wheel Specialist brings business to Burnley

The Wheel Specialist have taken on their very latest franchisees, Eddie & Caroline McVey, who will be opening the doors to their business in the next few months.

Following 8 years in the Royal Marine, Eddie moved into private security for 3 years before deciding to leave the water behind and locate permanently back into the UK. Caroline had been running a successful Private Hire business based in the Ribble Valley for 14 years and Eddie joined her in the business initially. They decided that they wanted to do something new that they could build together and started to look at new business opportunities a couple of years ago.

Eddie first experienced The Wheel Specialist when getting the wheels refurbished on his Monaro VXR. “I had a couple of small scuffs that I wanted to get sorted, but there was no one offering such a service in my area. Eventually I located The Wheel Specialist in Manchester. This was about 12 years ago.”

They wanted to find a business that excited them both. “We looked at all sorts of businesses”, commented Caroline, “We even looked at McDonalds and Costa, but ultimately we wanted to find something that we knew we would enjoy and remain enthusiastic about. We met and got together through our love of cars, so it just seemed like a really good direction to go.”

They decided to explore the opportunity further and do their research. “Looking further into the brand it was the professionalism, we felt it had something extra. We feel that the aftercare and service that we received is something that we would want in a business. And that is something that The Wheel Specialist really gave. Over the years the brand has really developed into the number one throughout the UK.”

And thus begins their new venture with The Wheel Specialist.

The new branch will be opening up in Clitheroe and will be servicing the retail and trade motoring community across Burnley and the surrounding areas.

“We are delighted to have Eddie and Caroline joining The Wheel Specialist network, their passion and enthusiasm is admirable and we are sure that they will have a fantastic business and a bright future with us.” Remarked Richard Higson, National Development Manager.

The Wheel Specialist are a franchise business with multiple sites throughout the UK. They have over 35 years’ experience in the field of Alloy Wheel Refurbishment and Customisation and operate from fixed premises.
