South African couple tap into UK's 'mature' franchising market
SOUTH-AFRICAN couple Gary and Hayley Ashe relocated to Britain to tap into its ‘mature’ franchising market.
They wanted to find a way to earn a good take-home salary while balancing the responsibility of raising three young children.
Gary and Hayley opted to open a Dream Doors franchise showroom covering Woking and Guildford for the UK’s #1 kitchen makeover company.
Hayley said: “We decided to look into franchise opportunities because the franchise market in the UK is very mature.
“There were lots of opportunities, but Dream Doors seemed to be the best one. Part of the reason to go into franchising was - because we were moving from South Africa to here - we didn’t know the local trading conditions, we didn’t have any contacts here - nothing. So it made sense to join a franchise network.
“We picked Dream Doors because the return on investment is so good. We also have a young family so it seemed like a business model that could fit with our lifestyle.”
Not only does a Dream Doors franchise suit their lifestyle and family commitments, it’s also generating a huge amount of personal profit for Gary and Hayley.
The couple have turned over almost £250,000 in the first three months of this year, securing a very healthy take-home salary.
Dream Doors is looking for more talented franchisees like Gary and Hayley who are ready to earn £150,000 or more a year by representing an industry-leading brand.
There are just 19 new franchise territories available nationwide, particularly in the North East, North West, Yorkshire and Scotland.
