Family makes over £1m in annual sales with Dream Doors showroom

This franchisee family has worked together to generate over £1million in annual sales from their Dream Doors showroom in Stoke-on-Trent.

Dad Allan James works with his son Glyn, who is his showroom manager, and his other son Martin, who is a fitter. Allan also employs his nephew Kelvin Fradley as his sales director.

Former engineer Allan joined the UK’s #1 kitchen makeover company after his previous job started requiring him to work 16-hour days and lay-off colleagues.

Allan, 63, said: “After I met with the Dream Doors team, I decided that this was the business for me. The thing I liked most was that it wasn’t just me saying: ‘I want to be a part of Dream Doors.’ There was quite a lot of them saying to me: ‘Well, yes, you’ve got the money to invest but are you actually right for us?’ That was what really impressed me – they didn’t just want to grab my cash, they wanted to know that I could actually do it.”

And with the support of his close family Allan is certainly doing well, having generated over £1million in sales in 2018.

Allan added: “Running a successful business is great but getting to work with family is the cherry on top.”
