Kitchen makeover retailer opens new showrooms in Essex and Kent

Kitchen makeover specialists, Dream Doors, opened new showrooms in the Dartford and Southend areas yesterday. The Hampshire-based brand now boasts 80 showrooms stretching from Truro all the way up to Edinburgh.

As the only national kitchen transformation retailer, Dream Doors is unique. But with each showroom owned by a local franchisee, it also retains a personal touch that separates it from the more faceless organisations. And it’s that blend of traditional small business with big brand support that appealed to the new owners of Dream Doors Southend, father-and-son team Malcolm and John Newnham. 

“We’ve had a fantastic reception from the local community, who love the fact that we’re friendly and approachable local business owners, but also backed up by a huge national brand,” Malcolm says.

“It helps that the Dream Doors concept is simply stunning too,” he adds. “We take the stress out of having a kitchen refitted by providing a faster and more cost-effective alternative. In many cases, our kitchen makeovers take just a couple of days to complete”

Just before the Newnhams launched their new showroom, and a few miles to the west over the Dartford crossing, Dream Doors franchisees Sam and Abdul were cutting the ribbon at their own premises in Crayford. There to support the business partners, who are also brothers-in-law, were Dream Doors founder, Troy Tappenden and Managing Director, Phil Carr.

“It’s great to see two more stunning Dream Doors showrooms now open to the public,” says Phil. “With even more talented new franchisees joining us this spring, and another training course booked for September, we’re on track to have close to 90 showrooms by the end of this year.”
