New TaxAssist Accountants shop launches in Wibsey

Kavan Tankard has expanded in West Yorkshire with the launch of a new shopfront office in Wibsey, Bradford.

In response to growing demand from existing small businesses and new businesses starting up in the area, Kavan Tankard, along with his wife Emma and team of five decided the time was right to expand with a second shop in Wibsey.

Kavan explained: “With the business going from strength-to-strength in Halifax and a growing small business culture in and around Bradford, it seemed like the perfect time to look out for a new conveniently placed shop on the outskirts of the city and the shopfront on Holroyd Hill seemed to be the ideal location.

“With a number of clients already based in and around Bradford and demand for our services continuing to grow, the new shop gives us the opportunity to grow with it.”

AAT qualified Kavan was working as a Senior Practice Manager at TaxAssist Accountants in Halifax, when, in 2010 the opportunity arose to purchase the practice due to retirement. Since then, Kavan has not looked back, and he now looks after more than 400 small businesses across the region.

“When I got the chance to purchase the business I jumped at it” explained Kavan. “The business I bought was already successful, I liked the business model, and I knew that with the excellent technical and marketing support offered by TaxAssist for myself and my staff, I could continue to expand.

“When I took the business on, I had 200 clients and I have doubled this, and I am very much looking forward to replicating the success of my Halifax shop in Wibsey.”
