Caremark clients enjoy a sunny Springtime afternoon tea

Surrey home care provider, Caremark (Guildford & Woking) organised a special Springtime afternoon tea for a number of their clients earlier last week. Some 40 guests enjoyed a relaxing traditional afternoon tea amid glorious spring sunshine.

With pretty tables sporting white table cloths and vases of bright spring flowers, guests enjoyed the feeling of sitting in a sunlit tearoom and enjoyed a fun couple of hours, assisted by their care and support workers, who mingled amongst guests, serving refreshments.

For the second year running, the (Guildford & Woking) owners and directors David & Deborah Porter, together with their Care Manger Clare Tombs decided to host an afternoon social event.  The Springtime tea enabled their clients to enjoy the warmer weather and provided an opportunity to meet each other, meet some of the office staff and enjoy some social time.  Last year’s event proved to be very popular and numbers were up again this year.

A special cake was made by a member of staff marking Her Majesty the Queen’s 90th birthday a few days before and kindly donated for the occasion.

Whilst guests enjoyed their tea, a member of the (Guildford & Woking) team provided musical entertainment, singing some well-known songs which was greatly enjoyed by everyone.

A fun quiz followed with the lucky winners receiving delicious hampers of fresh fruit.

The guest speaker for the afternoon was Anne O’Rourke, Managing Director of Caremark Limited who gave a short address and thanked David & Deborah Porter for their invitation to share this lovely occasion and the opportunity to meet some of their clients.

“It was a lovely afternoon and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.  A big ‘well done’ must go to the (Guildford & Woking) team who worked really hard to provide such a super event.  The room looked so welcoming and everything was beautifully organized “said Anne.

Ms O’Rourke spoke of the great value and importance which David & Deborah’s care service brought to their local community and praised their hard work and dedication in striving to provide the best possible care and support for all their clients.
