A new Dream Doors showroom has opened today (1 July) in Godmanchester, bringing the UK’s biggest kitchen makeover retailer to customers in Cambridgeshire and the surrounding area. 

The new showroom is located at The Causeway, and was opened in a gala champagne ceremony by the Deputy Mayor of Godmanchster, Councillor Peter Morgan, and the managing director of Dream Doors, Troy Tappenden.

Dream Doors allows customers to overhaul their kitchen for a fraction of the cost of a full re-fit, by replacing work surfaces and doors to create a completely fresh look. The new showroom will be managed by local resident Kevin Thornton, who has spent much his career in the wine industry, and believes that he has found the perfect location for Dream Doors.

“I’ve lived in in Godmanchester for 25 years and my wife is a teacher at a local primary school, so I know how important the community is here. It’s a beautiful and historic town, and with free parking outside the showroom, I think Dream Doors will go down really well with local residents who want to re-fresh their kitchen but do not want the hassle or expense of a full re-fit.”

Dream Doors was established in Hampshire in 1999 and now has 57 locally-owned franchised showrooms throughout the country. As well as its kitchen makeover service, Dream Doors will also design and fit an entire new kitchen, as well as offering a host of white goods and appliances.
