Pitman Training Marketing Team wins Award

The marketing team of the UK’s leading franchised training provider, Pitman Training, has won the award for best ‘In-House Team of the Year, yesterday evening at the PR Moment Awards 2015. Facing stiff competition in the category from the two other shortlisted companies, Greater Manchester Police Corporate Communications Branch, and M&S Bank Press Office, Pitman Training’s in-house marketing team picked up the award, by impressing the a judging panel which consisted of 63 industry experts.

Pitman Training Group has restructured its internal marketing team over the last two years with the appointment of Head of Marketing; Jamila Juma-Waré, and Marketing Executive; Nadia Burgess, in order to refocus the UK and International strategies. Together with Marketing Co-ordinator; Kathryn Bingley and Graphic Designer; Nick Button, the in-house marketing team is responsible for creating innovative campaigns (of which their ‘Career MOT - Drive your Future Forward’ Campaign, won the ‘Low Budget Campaign of the Year’ in the Northern Marketing Awards 2014), and providing continuous marketing support and creative development strategies for the franchise network which consists of over 80 franchise partners, throughout the UK and Ireland, and also internationally.

The PR Moment Awards 2015, which took place on Wednesday, 11th March, saw attendance from over 250 of the North’s finest marketeers and PR professionals, at The Hilton Manchester Deansgate Hotel, from some of the most reputable organisations based in the North, including Aldi, M&S and Sage UK.  In response to why they felt Pitman Training were worthy winners of the award, the PR Moment Award judges said they were impressed by the team as they felt they had managed to re-establish the importance of PR within the organization, and get such impressive results on limited resources.

Jamila Juma-Waré, Head of Marketing at Pitman Training said; “We are so honored and proud to have won this award, against such recognised and reputable competition. It is an incredible achievement for our team, and it pays great testament to the hard work we carry out in working closely with our franchise network to support sales and business growth. We are all extremely passionate about what we do; we live and breathe our campaigns, and it is fantastic to have won this award.”

Yowie Roberts, Senior Franchise Development Manager added; “Our in-house marketing team work extremely hard and closely with the franchise network to devise innovative and creative marketing strategies and activities to assist with the development and success of the business. This award is a great accolade which pays testament to their passion and dedication to support the network with innovative campaigns and their ongoing marketing expertise, and we are extremely proud of them.”
