She could already do it alone - here's why Marina chose Affinity instead
Affinity Associates have got some wonderful news to share with you! The Affinity Associates franchise has just welcomed its newest franchisee.
Her name is Marina, she has recently completed her training, and she will soon be opening her Affinity Associates franchise in Oxfordshire.
We will be catching up with Marina properly very soon to hear the full story of her journey, so keep an eye on this site over the coming weeks. Her reasons for joining say so much about this opportunity, though, that I wanted to share them with you now rather than wait.
Why Marina's decision matters to you
Marina is not someone taking her first steps in the profession. She is a qualified accountant who has spent the last few years working independently and successfully as an interim finance director on a freelance basis. She already had the skills, the experience, and a proven ability to win and look after her own clients.
However, carrying on exactly as she was simply wasn't enough for her.
What Marina wanted next was a recognised brand behind her. She wanted the credibility, the substance, and the marketing power that come from being part of an established name, rather than continuing as a capable but solo operator. Joining Affinity gave her something to build on and something to put in front of prospective clients, along with the confidence that
Do the work you love, and outsource the rest
Marina, like many talented accountants, wanted to spend her time on the higher-value, more specialist work that she enjoys and does best, rather than seeing her days swallowed up by routine tasks such as payroll and general bookkeeping.
Joining Affinity means that Marina can concentrate on the specialist, relationship-led work that plays to her strengths, while the franchise's dedicated outsourcing team takes care of the day-to-day accountancy behind the scenes. This is the model working exactly as it is meant to: its franchisees hold on to the work they find most rewarding and lean on Affinity's back-office support for everything else, which means they can grow their businesses without being buried under the workload.
If you are an accountant who is already going it alone, or seriously thinking about it, then you will probably recognise something of yourself in Marina's story. The same is true if you simply like the idea of building a business on the strength of an established brand, with a genuine support network behind you.
So, could Affinity work for you?
