Jordan Wylie Completes Historic Antarctic Odyssey – Summiting Untouched Peaks and Skiing to the South Pole to Inspire Young People Across the UK

British adventurer, author, and former soldier Jordan Wylie has achieved an extraordinary feat in one of the harshest environments on Earth. After successfully summiting three untouched peaks in Antarctica, Jordan continued his journey by skiing from Union Glacier Base Camp to the South Pole – a grueling 10-day trek completed on 17th December, battling extreme elements and temperatures plunging below −30°C.

This historic expedition, Antarctic Odyssey 2025, was not just a test of physical endurance but a mission driven by purpose: to raise awareness and funds for ACCT UK, the official charity of the Army Cadet Force. So far, Jordan has raised over £60,000 toward his ambitious £100,000 goal, helping ACCT UK provide life-changing opportunities for young people.

Jordan reflected on the experience: “To step onto their summits for the first time was humbling, brutal, emotional and beautiful in equal measure. But the real purpose behind every step is to help create more opportunities for young people back home. That’s what drives me. We need more role models for young people and I want to do my very best to show the next generation that anything is possible with belief and hard work.”

His journey demanded not only physical endurance, but also immense mental resilience. The expedition took Jordan across some of the harshest terrain on the planet, with temperatures plunging below −30°C causing frost nip on his nose and ear. Yet his determination never wavered: “To reach 90 degrees latitude south after weeks embedded in such unforgiving Antarctic conditions is a huge achievement on a personal level. Ever since I was a little boy, I’ve dreamed of visiting the South Pole. I sincerely hope this journey inspires the next generation of young adventurers, showing them that true exploration is still out there and that if you have big dreams, you should protect them, chase them and never give up on them.”

Jordan’s expedition also highlights the urgent need to protect Antarctica: “The world is changing rapidly, and in a place like Antarctica you can see this first-hand. We must do everything we can to educate people and protect this last great wilderness before it’s too late.”

Dyno-Rod, a leading name in drainage and plumbing services, proudly sponsored Jordan’s Antarctic Odyssey. Their support helped make the expedition possible and reflects their ongoing commitment to backing causes that empower communities and young people.

“We’re incredibly proud to support Jordan and ACCT UK,” said Alastair Donson, Brand and Marketing Manager at Dyno-Rod. “Jordan’s journey is a powerful metaphor for the challenges young people face and the strength they can find through organisations like ACCT UK. We are in awe of Jordan every day.”

Supporters can still contribute to and help ACCT UK continue its vital work with young people across the UK. Be the difference that makes a difference!
