To demonstrate the difference this makes, Sarah and Cathy shared a moving case study from CareYourWay South Devon. A client, supported by a live-in carer, was able to receive timely healthcare in their home without waiting for a district nurse visit.

For the family, this was transformative. They described the reassurance it gave them, and how they felt “indebted” to the carer for her dedication and care.
