CareYourWay showcases Delegated Healthcare Activities at recent Skills for Care Roadshow
Through real-life case studies, CareYourWay's delegated healthcare activity was shown to reduce delays, ease pressure on nurses, and bring families further peace of mind at home.
A Proud Opportunity to Share Our Work
CareYourWay was proud to be invited as one of only two guest speakers at the Skills for Care Roadshow in Taunton — an event bringing together leaders, providers, and professionals from across the region to discuss how home care continues to evolve.
Representing CareYourWay, founder Sarah Sabater joined Cathy Tall RN, Kingsbridge Hub, to deliver a powerful presentation on delegated healthcare activities. These are everyday healthcare tasks that can be safely completed by trained carers, ensuring faster and more accessible support for people at home.
Real-Life Impact for Families
To demonstrate the difference this makes, Sarah and Cathy shared a moving case study from CareYourWay South Devon. A client, supported by a live-in carer, was able to receive timely healthcare in their home without waiting for a district nurse visit.
For the family, this was transformative. They described the reassurance it gave them, and how they felt “indebted” to the carer for her dedication and care. Their words captured the very essence of delegated healthcare: removing delays, easing anxieties, and helping loved ones feel safe and supported at home.
Strengthening Skills and Collaboration
Sarah and Cathy also emphasised the importance of strong foundations — high-quality training, robust competency checks, and close collaboration with district nursing teams. These measures ensure carers are both capable and confident, while easing pressure on nursing services and creating faster responses for families.
The presentation prompted valuable discussions on how these practices can be scaled more widely, improving access to healthcare at home across communities.
Moving Forward with Purpose
For CareYourWay, participation in the Roadshow reflects its continued mission to advance client and family support. With a clear purpose to live and breathe excellence in care, and a mission to transform lives through outstanding care, delegated healthcare stands as an important next step.
This vision has guided CareYourWay since Sarah, Manuel, and the Sabater family first founded the business, and it remains central to the brand’s growth today. By building stronger partnerships and empowering care teams, CareYourWay is helping shape the future of home care — one where families experience not only compassion, but also timely, professional support they can trust.
