The founder of UK Growth Coach (Tim Rylatt) began his professional life in the police force, serving for a decade in roles that included front-line response, public order, sexual offence investigation, and training new officers. The final four years of that career were dedicated to a more formal training capacity - an area where he discovered a deeper professional calling: helping others perform at their best through structured development!

A defining moment came while attending a critical incident in which a young man tragically lost his life. Despite following procedure and providing immediate assistance, the experience raised difficult but important questions about preparedness, training, and impact. While colleagues reassured that nothing more could have been done, it prompted a decision to focus on training - recognising that better equipping others could have a wider and longer-lasting effect than any individual response.

That perspective led to a move into business coaching, where the same commitment to development and high performance could be applied to a new audience: business owners

After leaving the police, Tim invested in a franchise with the world’s largest business coaching firm. There, he received training from some of the industry’s leading thinkers, including Marshall Goldsmith, Seth Godin, and Verne Harnish. With a solid foundation and practical tools, he launched UK Growth Coach - built around clear strategy, accountability, and measurable results.

Over the past decade, UK Growth Coach has worked with more than 200 companies across multiple sectors and stages of growth. Clients range from start-ups to business owners preparing for exit, but a strong focus lies in helping established businesses that have hit a plateau and need a fresh approach to growth.
