TaxAssist Accountants Waterlooville has welcomed new owners as husband-and-wife team, Scott and Claire Butteriss, take the reins of the established local practice. The business has been purchased from founder Doug Clanchy, who launched the practice 15 years ago. Doug will remain involved for a handover period to ensure a smooth and seamless transition.

Scott and Claire, both qualified accountants (MAAT), bring a wealth of knowledge in business, financial services and accountancy. They understand the real-world needs and day-to-day stresses of business owners and individual taxpayers having run their own businesses previously, with experience in buying, building and selling businesses.

“The team will remain unchanged, and clients can expect the same high level of service they’ve always received,” said Scott. “We’ll continue to offer our full range of services, including accounts preparation, tax returns, payroll, bookkeeping, tax planning and advice, as well as broader business advisory support and financial planning which is key to achieving both business and personal goals too.”

Claire added: “We’re excited to get to know our clients. We’re passionate about helping local businesses thrive and are committed to maintaining the trusted reputation that Doug and his team have built. We love being open and friendly and try to treat clients like we would want our own family to be treated.”
