TaxAssist and Intuit QuickBooks forge Strategic Alliance

{TaxAssist and Intuit QuickBooks forge Strategic Alliance}

New collaboration will drive practice efficiency, ahead of the MTD for Income Tax mandate

TaxAssist Accountants is pleased to announce a new strategic alliance with Intuit QuickBooks, which recognises TaxAssist as an important growth ally. Intuit QuickBooks became a preferred supplier of TaxAssist in 2013 and its software already dominates the network. This new strategic alliance enables both businesses to collaborate more closely in supporting small and medium businesses (SMBs) and sole traders to navigate the transition to Making Tax Digital for Income Tax.

Intuit will deliver new growth initiatives throughout the TaxAssist network including consultancy, custom training, product education, bespoke pricing, client-assisted onboarding and premium support. The TaxAssist network will also receive access to a dedicated strategic QuickBooks Account Manager, benefiting from expert advice and recommendations for clients looking to digitise their operations.

Nick Williams, Product Director at Intuit QuickBooks UK, said: “We are very excited to be working more closely with TaxAssist, and we look forward to dialling up joint activity together. By ensuring unparalleled access to the QuickBooks team, we’re helping TaxAssist to elevate their current service offering and provide bespoke programmes for clients that are looking to digitise and grow. TaxAssist have an impressive national footprint and an unrivalled high street presence, making them well placed to support the large community of SMBs still not taking up the support of professional accountants. This strategic alliance aligns well to our mission to power prosperity and digital literacy for SMBs across the UK.”

Jo Nockels, Head of Group Practice Capabilities at TaxAssist Accountants, added: “As a strategic growth partner, we are excited to benefit from direct access to the Intuit QuickBooks professional services team, to provide our clients and communities with even better support as more and more businesses manage their finances digitally. We look forward to the continued success of this relationship as we prepare our next cohort of clients to digitise their operations.”

Intuit’s recent Accounting for the SMB Economy report revealed that, in 2024, businesses working with an accountant unlocked 11.5% more revenue than those that didn’t. The study also found an average of 9.1 hours were saved per week by using accounting services, and 80% of SMBs reported either a moderate, significant or transformational effect on their stress reduction when using an accounting professional.
