National home care provider Caremark celebrates a great 2014

The Hinckley Island Hotel in Leicestershire was the setting for Caremark’s 8th annual conference, with franchisees coming from the UK, Ireland and Malta to attend the special event.

Despite the bad weather, this year’s conference saw a good attendance with franchisees enjoying the opportunity to network and make connections with the newer businesses.

Presentations came from some of the top performing businesses in the network, together with key presentations from senior management. In addition, this year Caremark were pleased to welcome Colin Angel, Policy & Campaign Director from the UKHCA who spoke about some of the current issues facing the home care industry.

During the last 12 months, Caremark’s network of franchisees has continued to expand with individual businesses enjoying steady growth and the network now delivering some 84,000 hours of care per week to 5500 vulnerable people.

A gala dinner followed a stimulating day of presentations, concluding with the long-awaited awards ceremony. Nine trophies in total were won by businesses across the network with Caremark’s top three awards – the Achievement Award, Mark of Excellence Award and the coveted Franchisee of the Year Award going to northern and midlands based franchises.

2014 was another important year in Caremark’s development with the company continuing to invest in support, with new team members joining both the in-field and office based central support team, ensuring that strong support continues to be delivered to the growing network of franchisees.

Reflecting on the conference, Chelmsford & Uttlesford franchisee Tanya George said: “Thank you and well done to everyone at Caremark for all the hard work that went into a highly enjoyable conference. The presentations were excellent. I came away with pages of notes and a renewed enthusiasm! The overall feel of this year’s Conference was one of togetherness, with a real sense of the ‘Caremark family’ and ‘we’re all in this together’.”

Caremark is a national and international home care provider, operating a network of franchisees in the UK, Ireland as well as having an office in Malta. Bespoke care and support services are delivered to people of all ages and abilities in their homes and in the community, enabling them to live safer, independent lives.
