The nearby rocks known as ‘the Manacles’ have been the site of many shipwrecks and, as a consequence, are now a favourite diving destination. The South West Coastal Path also runs through the village. Coverack is situated about 12 miles south-east of the town of Helston, which has a population of circa 11,000.

YHA Coverack occupies a Victorian country house that was previously a hotel and has panoramic sea views overlooking Perprean Cove and Chynhalls Point. It is a detached three-story property with a pebble dash rendered finished under a pitched tiled roof. The plot size is approximately 1.1 acres.
