Coverack is situated about 12 miles south east from the town of Helston which has a population of circa 11,000.

YHA Coverack occupies a Victorian country house that was previously a hotel has panoramic sea views overlooking Perprean Cove and Chynhalls Point. It is a detached three storey property with a pebble dash rendered finished under a pitched tiled roof. The plot size is approximately 1.1 acres.
