I am reluctantly selling my business due to family commitments (younger children) and other work commitments. This business has been the No. 1 on-trip advisor for the last 3.5 years and is a well-established and well-recognized business. Just last year, I was also awarded Kent’s best burger, plus lots of other awards. I opened the business 4 years ago in August during COVID, and it has grown every year since. Unfortunately, due to other work commitments, I’m unable to open as much as I’d like to. My opening hours at the moment are Tuesday to Friday, 5 to 9, and Saturday, 12 to 9. Shut down Sundays and Mondays. Sundays would be an amazing day to open, and I’m often asked why I’m not. Even in this short time, I’m still able to bring in $4,500 per week!
I currently have 6 staff members and 3 delivery drivers.
I have seating for 26 people, including several window seats, which are very popular. We are already using Just Eat and Uber, which we do very well with as takeaways and deliveries are a massive part of what we do.
Sandwich is a busy medieval town with lots of visitors visiting each year, not to mention all the air b and b’s that we regularly deliver to and have a great reputation with.
The business is fully equipped and ready to trade, even with the bin contract still in place. We have 2 entrance doors, including one disabled entrance. A ground-floor WC and room out the back are perfect for fridges, freezers, and stock.
I recently had it all damp-proofed on the inside walls, and the inside has all been newly painted, including new kitchen equipment. The kitchen is all stainless steel and white rock, with a top-of-the-range extraction system that costs £15,000 on its own.
We also have a small courtyard at the rear, which could be used as a garden or as a shed to hold more stock.
