Founded about a decade ago, the business designs and supplies high quality, bespoke sportswear to sports clubs and teams. The current focus is football, cricket and netball but this could be expanded to include other sports.
Most kits are manufactured using digital print or sublimation but conventional cut/sew, plus print/transfer or embroidery, can also be applied. Production is largely outsourced to a world class factory partner in Eastern Europe, which also provides pre-production graphics. However, numerous ready-made items are also available from various wholesale suppliers, which can be decorated by local partners as required.
The current client base includes about 10 clubs, the largest of which comprises some 30 teams. Most clubs order at least once a year. Projects have also been completed for the military in the past and any organisation or group that might need a batch of garments is a potential customer.
Although the customer base is predominantly in the South East, the business could be run from any home office with a limited storage capacity.
The business could be operated at a level to suit the purchaser. The current owner works about 30 hours per week, depending on the seasonal workload. Full-time working and more effective marketing should yield significant growth opportunities.
Sales peaked at £35K just prior to Covid, which was a serious setback. Steady rebuilding has taken place since then and sales for the year ending March 2023 were £25K, yielding a profit of c £6K. Overheads are very low at c £150 per month.
