Founded about a decade ago, this business designs and supplies high quality, bespoke sportswear to sports clubs and teams. The current focus is football, cricket, netball and water sports but this could be expanded to include other sports, such as rugby or hockey etc.
Most garments are manufactured using digital print or sublimation technology but conventional cut/sew, plus print/transfer or embroidery, are also available. Production is largely done by our world class factory partner in Eastern Europe, which provides pre-production graphics and a pattern development service too. A cost reduction programme has just taken place there, which now delivers significant margin improvements to most core styles. Numerous, supplementary and ready-made items are available from our wholesale supply partners, which can be decorated by local partners as required. Turkish factory contacts are also available for high volume projects.
The regular client base includes about 12 clubs, the largest of which comprises some 35 teams. Most clubs order at least once a year. Projects have also been completed for the military and any organisation or group that might need a batch of garments is a potential customer.
Although the client base is mainly in the South and South East, the business could be run from any UK-based home office with limited storage capacity. The current owner works about 30 hours per week, depending on the seasonal workload. More effective SEO and digital marketing should yield significant growth opportunities, on a full or part-time basis.
Sales peaked at £35K just prior to Covid, which was a serious setback. Steady rebuilding has taken place since then and sales for the year ending 31 March 2025 were £27K, yielding a profit of c £5.5K (cash accounting applied). Overheads are very modest at c £165 per month.
The guide price for the assets and goodwill is £11K plus VAT, to include:

- Prospecting database (2000+ clubs).
- Presentation pack (including example garments, fabric swatches and stock colour palette).
- Measurement tables and dedicated patterns.
- All designs and image library.

- Social media accounts (as feasible).
- Older fabric, garment and pattern stock (if required).
This opportunity represents a solid base from which to grow a business within the sportswear sector, which could generate a good income over time. One person would have the capacity to build a substantial business. The vendor will provide a comprehensive handover and support package.
