Rent is £6,000 per annum, paid in four quarterly amounts. And there is a service charge on top, which is about £2,000 per annum, which covers shared car parking, rubbish & recycling, toilets and water provision (facilities are shared with other units on the site), and marketing of the site. There is electricity in the unit, which is metered, but no direct water connection, water is available on site. Heating is an electric air con unit, which can both heat and cool, and is very efficient.
The shop is a lovely light space, with excellent foot fall passing throughout the day. On site there are lots of other shops & services, which include Deepdale Stores (Supermarket & Fuel Station), FatFace, The Sea Word, Relish, One Stop Nature Shop, The Hare & The Hen, Deepdale Visitor Information Centre, Deepdale Camping & Rooms (busy throughout the year), Deepdale Bike Hire, four pop up shops that change weekly, and a cafe, which is currently changing hands and will reopen in February. During the year we host events, including live music, theatre, workshops, and festivals. And street food is available many evenings throughout the year too.
Opposite the shop is St Mary’s Church, and the Norfolk Coast Path, excellent bus services, and there are other facilities along the village, including two pubs, a sailing club, fish shop, kayak & paddle board hire.
We are looking for a new tenant who will compliment the other businesses on the site, not duplicate them. So please have a good read of the Dalegate Market website before applying, so that you can explain how you are different to the rest of the permanent tenants. Don’t worry about the pop up shops, they change weekly and so will adjust according to the permanent shops we have on site.
