Milborne St Andrew is a central Dorset village situated in the Winterbourne valley on the Dorset Downs on the A354 road between Blandford and the busy A35 Dorset link road, 9 miles south west of Blandford. The Royal Oak is a well-known and popular, family run local freehouse in the heart of Dorset.

The business is run very much as a community pub and offers great food, all at reasonable prices. The Royal Oak has a separate sports bar with darts board and 2 TV screens showing all the main sporting events. It also has a skittle alley frequented by many local teams and societies and doubles up as a function room for various celebrations, parties and events.

The pub has a varied menu with plenty of choice with the emphasis being on fresh, locally sourced ingredients providing quality traditional pub food. Once a month there is a 'all you can eat' pie night on the last Thursday of every month, as well as a monthly themed menu night. The Royal Oak is particularly well known for its carvery which is served on Fridays and Sundays and was recently voted the best Sunday lunch in Dorset! The carvery is available Friday lunchtimes, 12pm - 2:30pm, Friday evenings, 5:30pm- 8:30pm and all day on Sunday from 12pm - 8pm. The pub also enjoys excellent TripAdvisor reviews.
