Royale Thai restaurant has been trading for the last 5 years from the site of the Royal Mail sorting office (hence the trading name) and has built up an excellent reputation over this time.

The central location has the benefit of bringing in business from workers, shoppers and nearby residents plus the local students during term time. The menu is traditional Thai cuisine with a good selection of dishes that include vegetarian and vegan options.

During the last 18 months the business has adapted to meet the various restrictions imposed by Covid and our client incorporated a collection and delivery menu which is still very popular. The rear of the ground floor had a collection and delivery hatch installed and this can be used by both customers and delivery drivers. The takeaway menu is available on the Just Eat platform and deliveries currently make up approximately 30% of the sales.

The restaurant was also popular with theatre goers and now that the theatre and cinemas have reopened, the “early bird” menu has been relaunched and is likely to increase takings back to the pre Covid levels of circa £4,500 weekly.
