The owners accommodation can be accessed via a private staircase and is situated on the upper floor, the accommodation is currently set up to offer a double bedroom with ensuite a lounge/office area with an open plan kitchen area.

The business is all year round and very diverse. Easter and New Year is always busy. Peak season, May to October sees a massive increase in footfall from tourism. The weekends are always fully booked for people attending special events such as weddings. During low season the guest house business is generated through good contacts with a local business that is situated in UK and abroad so brings guests from all over the world. Throughout the year Cockermouth town puts on some very special events such as Music, Food Festivals and Christmas market. The Woolfest is an annual event bringing traders and tourist to the town and normally the guest house is booked up a year in advance.
We encourage cyclists and walkers as we have a boot room and are able to provide secure storage for bikes. Some of the more unusual things that brings guests to us, is that 2 mins walk away we have an auction house, 5 mins walk away we have a Coroners court and just on the out skirts of Cockermouth town there is a dialysis unit, these guests often come for 5 or 7 days, taking a holiday whist still being able to have dialysis.
We have strong links with the Tourist Centre that is situated on the Main Street, who often recommend us to foreign visitors who are passing through, and then there are of course our loyal returning guests visiting friends or family or those wishing a luxury evening away attending some of the fabulous restaurants in town including a fine dining vegetarian restaurant.
