Our expertise lies in the engineering, manufacturing, technology and B2B service sectors and the majority of our revenue is derived from the success-based fees associated with completed business sales. We generally work with owners of businesses with annual sales between £500k to £20M.
Anderson Shaw is a 'boutique' business and we believe in offering a genuinely personal service so we can add real value to all our clients.
•Business Sale: Achieving the best outcomes for the owner. We manage the sale from start to finish, beginning with owner needs and only ending when the money is in the bank. The majority of our fee is payable on success only.
•Business Valuation: We provide written valuations when a business sale is not required – this can be for any purpose and we have carried out this work for mergers and Court proceedings purposes. Charges are on a day rate basis.
•Transaction Support: We provide support to acquirers including acquisition analysis, deal negotiation etc. We can assist businesses with raising debt and equity funding. We can support most types of transaction typically required by our clients. Charges can be on a day rate or contingency basis.
Every project is led personally by either Peter Wilson, Richard Anderson or Chris Elliott, each of whom are very experienced in running their own sme business and in the entire business sales and valuations processes. Unlike dealing with larger organisations the same person will discuss a valuation with you, visit the business, write the Briefing Document and market the business. The depth of knowledge gained about the business through this process translates to talking more intelligently about the business to potential buyers, negotiating to Heads of Terms more effectively on the vendor’s behalf and, we believe, ultimately achieving a more successful sale.
