The judges chose BMG for its unwavering practical help for the community’s homeless over the past decade.
Rufus Bazley, Director of Marketing at BusinessesForSale.com says, “2019 was a record year for Small Business Big Heart entries so achieving regional finalist position is incredible. The team at BMG’s unwavering support has seen them fundraising in all weather conditions and at times of year most people choose to be closer to home, like Christmas. I’d like to congratulate all the staff and wish them every success in the next and final round of judging.”
Bill McGregor, MD of BMG says, “ We are absolutely delighted to have made it through to the Regional Finals. We strongly believe that the small business community makes an amazing impact on individuals in organisations that might otherwise be overlooked.”
BMG is a long-standing supporter of The Welcome Organisation, a charity that gives support to the community’s most vulnerable. CEO Sandra Moore MBE says of the awards, “This sums up the big hearts of Bill and Diane at BMG whose quiet support of Welcome Organisation homelessness services has been ongoing over the last decade.... who'd give up the Saturday before Christmas to stand in the freezing cold to raise funds for those who are homeless? They have. Who else would give up so many valuable evenings to attend events at the drop of a hat.? Yes they do. And who else would come to the rescue when your finance officer disappears into the sunset leaving a nightmare behind? Yes you are right the BMG was there. What else can I say? Small business Big's hearts... Giving accountants a good name.”
If BMG goes on to win the Small Business Big Heart Awards Gold prize it will receive £1,000 to donate to any good cause of its choice.
BMG is the Regional Finalist for Northern Ireland. In total there are 18 regional finalists across the country.
The overall winner of the 2019 Small Business Big Heart Award in association with BusinessesForSale.com will be announced on 15 September.
