The judges chose Jute, Jam and Journalism Group because of the way vulnerable people gain independence through the training and employment it provides.

Jute, Jam and Journalism Group’s Founder Dr Chris JBDR Ireland says, “Everyone deserves a chance and I want to give people who can find it hard to fit into everyday life a bit of a leg up. I am looking for people who want a career in hospitality.”
If Jute, Jam and Journalism Group goes on to win the Small Business Big Heart Awards Gold prize it will receive £1,000 to donate to any good cause of its choice.
Jute, Jam and Journalism is the Regional Finalist for Scotland. In total there are 18 regional finalists across the country.
The overall winner of the 2019 Small Business Big Heart Award in association with BusinessesForSale.com will be announced on 15 September.
