Esquires The Organic Coffee Co., owned by Cooks Coffee Company, has announced its ambitious plans to double its 50-plus UK estate over the next three years.

28 July 2023

In the coming quarter, the company is gearing up to launch eight more stores. Emphasising their commitment to quality and community, the UK stores are developed using a regional developer system, leveraging local knowledge to select ideal locations and prospective franchisees. Esquires takes great care in choosing the right franchisees and ensures they receive comprehensive training to deliver warm and welcoming café experiences.

Currently, the company operates over 50 stores in the UK, with eight new ones set to open in the next quarter. Esquires' long-term goal is strategic expansion with the potential to double the number of stores within the next three years, all while maintaining their emphasis on sustainable and responsible sourcing practices, high-quality products and excellent customer service.

Among the upcoming launches, Hitchin in Hertfordshire is set to open on July 26, replacing the former Chai Naturally Healthy vegan café at 8 Market Place. With this store opening, Esquires continues its expansion, following recent UK store openings in Southend-on-Sea, Godalming, Houghton Regis, Melton Mowbray, Corby and Brackley.

Demonstrating their commitment to sustainability, Esquires ensures that all their coffee is grown by Fairtrade farmers as part of the forest and existing ecosystem. They have partnered with the first coffee roastery in the world to achieve the gold carbon-neutral standard. Additionally, the company actively supports green initiatives by using recyclable and compostable coffee cups, recyclable takeaway boxes and bags, serviettes and straws to reduce single-use plastic in their business.

Overall, Esquires' expansion plans align with their dedication to providing quality coffee experiences while being environmentally responsible.
